Job Title: Staff Accountant and Office Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced staff accountant and office administrator to join our team at LiveNjoy Residential, a dynamic and thriving real estate property management company.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will handle all accounting and financial management and reporting tasks, as well as administrative duties, while providing excellent customer service to residents, vendors, and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial and Accounting Tasks:
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Resman) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
    • Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and provide insights.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent communication skills for explaining complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
    • Produce monthly bank reconciliations, review and update monthly P&L statements.
    • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Process payments, including cash, checks, and electronic transactions.
    • Assist with invoicing and tracking of accounts payable and receivable.
    • Assisting in the preparation of tax returns, investor and lender reporting.
  • Office Administration:
    • Manage and organize office files, records, and documentation.
    • Prepare and process correspondence, and reports.
    • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and property viewings.
    • Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries; provide information or direct inquiries to appropriate staff.
    • Maintain office supplies and equipment; order replacements as needed.
    • Ensure the office environment is clean and organized.
    • Assist with preparing and distributing internal and external communications.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure all activities comply with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Assist with preparing documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.
    • Prepare financial reports and summaries as needed.
  • Customer Service:
    • Greet and assist visitors, residents, and prospective tenants.
    • Understand and report tenant issues and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
    • Provide relevant company information as needed to all stakeholders and represent LiveNjoy Residential professionally at all times.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in business administration, property management, or a related field preferred.
    • Proven experience in an accountant & office administrator role, preferably in property management or real estate.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
    • Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Resman, Yardi, AppFolio) is a plus.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
