As a Commissions Administrator, you will be responsible for accurately entering and managing sales transactions and contracts, overseeing commission calculations, and ensuring account reconciliations are completed efficiently. Your role will involve providing follow-up on transactions and addressing any inquiries related to commissions. Additionally, you will assist with month-end reconciliations, process payments, and maintain various accounting records.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage sales transactions and contracts:

  • Review and document open contracts.
  • Receive and balance incoming transaction payments.
  • Calculate, verify, and distribute commission payments.
  • Handle cancellations of open contracts.
  • Maintain accurate files and generate reports.
2. Conduct month-end reconciliations and prepare necessary journal entries related to sales transactions.

3. Address commission-related inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and assist in error identification and reporting.

4. Process accounts receivable for sales associates and assist in reconciling statements and commission accounts.

5. Maintain and reconcile escrow information, ensuring timely processing of earnest money and interest calculations.

6. Update and manage information for new and existing sales associates, collaborating with management to ensure accurate compensation agreements.

7. Support office operations by coordinating equipment repairs, managing supply inventory, and handling administrative tasks.

8. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in accounting is preferred.
Experience:
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting; experience in a related industry is advantageous.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in calculations involving discounts, interest, and commissions.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and customer service skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
