Staff Assistant I, Housing for Health's Interim Housing Outreach Program Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Assistant I to support the Interim Housing Outreach Program at Housing for Health. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the program team, ensuring seamless operations and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the program team, including scheduling, data entry, and record-keeping.
- Assist with field-based scheduling of clinical teams and support clinical management of systems used for scheduling.
- Work directly with HFH management staff to fulfill administrative tasks, including data entry and tracking, client follow-up, and operations within the HFH database.
- Process, edit, and create various documents, including Word and Excel documents.
- Screen in-person inquiries and telephone calls, furnishing requested information and referring inquiries to others as needed.
- Makes appointments and arranges conferences, trainings, and meetings for HFH personnel as applicable.
- Prepare and distribute internal and external notices, bulletins, letters, and memoranda as applicable.
- Attend meetings, take notes, and prepare meeting minutes and action items as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of experience in a staff capacity, analyzing and making recommendations for problem-solving, or in a highly responsible secretarial capacity, assistant, or coordinator role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to express technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to make thoughtful decisions and exercise sound judgment, be self-directed, resourceful, and creative in problem-solving.
- Existing relationships and trust within communities of focus.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a constantly changing environment.
- Comfort working with data systems and learning new data systems.
- Strong listening, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Knowledge of LA County programs designed to serve the underserved.
- Provide empathetic care with a harm reduction, "whatever it takes" philosophy.
The Staff Assistant I will work in a general office setting, indoors, with a temperature-controlled environment. Travel to and from HFH Headquarters and shelters may be required.
