REMOTE OPPORTUNITY Description:

The Medicare Enrollment Coordinator plays a vital role in collaborating with Sales Consultants, Brokers, and Carriers. This position operates with minimal supervision and is tasked with applying carrier principles and internal protocols. The coordinator is responsible for researching and analyzing issues, responding to both telephone and written inquiries, and initiating actions to assist callers with application submissions, status updates, RFI resolutions, and pre/post-sale inquiries.

With a comprehensive understanding of the Medicare system, the Enrollment Coordinator is empowered to make independent decisions within established business guidelines and procedures, as well as adapt existing processes as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inquiries from coworkers and customers effectively through both telephone and written communication regarding application submissions, status updates, RFI resolutions, and eligibility questions.
  • Timely entry of new business submissions into the internal tracking system to support sales reporting and application monitoring.
  • Conduct follow-up communications with Brokers on the same day applications are received or entered.
  • Analyze and resolve simple to complex problems, providing necessary information and solutions.
  • Interpret and clarify policies, benefits, and guidelines to customers, seeking assistance from colleagues or specialists when needed.
  • Utilize internal and external computerized systems to gather and extract information, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
  • Document inquiry outcomes thoroughly for accurate tracking and analysis.
  • Make follow-up calls or emails to address routine customer questions within a maximum of 4 hours.
  • Foster positive customer relationships and coordinate with various departments to ensure timely handling of customer requests.
  • Research and analyze data to resolve operational challenges and enhance customer service.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and service providers, requiring a strong knowledge of company services, products, insurance benefits, provider contracts, and claims.
  • Provide backup support in other areas within the department as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma; advanced education or degree preferred.
  • At least 1 year of prior experience in a related field, demonstrating a solid understanding of insurance knowledge and experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, programs, and office equipment, including typing at least 30-35 words per minute and familiarity with 10-key functions.
  • Ability to work on-site for a minimum of 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with shift start times typically between 8:00-8:30 a.m.
