Key Responsibilities

Cost Management Systems: Design, execute, and uphold thorough cost management reports that are in line with project goals, financial plans, and contractual obligations.

Budget Monitoring: Supervise project financial plans, analyze spending patterns, and ensure expenditures are consistent with project forecasts. Recognize any discrepancies and deviations in the budget.

Financial Forecasting: Develop precise financial forecasts, taking into account project advancement and changes in scope. Consistently inform project leaders and stakeholders about financial implications.

Change Order Evaluation: Review and process modifications and variations in project scope. Assess how these alterations impact project finances and timelines.

Supplier Collaboration: Partner with procurement and vendor management teams to guarantee cost-efficient sourcing practices.

Risk Evaluation: Identify potential financial risks and uncertainties that could influence project budgets and recommend strategies for risk management and cost control.

Reporting: Create and disseminate comprehensive cost management reports to stakeholders, emphasizing critical financial indicators, cost performance, and areas needing improvement.

Cross-Functional Integration: Collaborate closely with project teams, schedulers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that cost management strategies align with overall project objectives.

Documentation Management: Maintain precise and organized records of project expenditures, change orders, and financial documents for auditing and compliance purposes.

Additional Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in cost management or project accounting, ideally within the energy sector or similar industries.

  • In-depth knowledge of cost management systems and software, along with proficiency in financial tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to identify financial issues and proactively suggest solutions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial tracking and documentation.
