Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Management Systems: Design, execute, and sustain thorough cost management reports that correspond with project goals, financial plans, and contractual obligations.
  • Financial Monitoring: Supervise project financials, analyze spending patterns, and ensure expenses align with project forecasts. Recognize and address budget discrepancies.
  • Cost Projections: Generate precise cost projections, taking into account project advancements and scope modifications. Regularly inform project leaders and stakeholders about financial impacts.
  • Modification Oversight: Review and process modification requests and project scope changes. Evaluate the repercussions of these modifications on project finances and timelines.
  • Supplier Collaboration: Partner with procurement and vendor management teams to guarantee cost-efficient sourcing.
  • Risk Evaluation: Identify potential financial risks and uncertainties that may influence project budgets and recommend strategies for risk management and cost control.
  • Financial Reporting: Create and disseminate comprehensive cost management reports to stakeholders, emphasizing critical financial indicators, cost efficiency, and improvement opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Integration: Collaborate closely with project teams, schedulers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cost management practices align with overall project objectives.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain precise and organized documentation of project expenses, modification requests, and financial records for auditing and compliance purposes.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in cost management or project accounting, ideally within the energy sector or similar industries.

  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities to identify financial challenges and proactively suggest solutions.
