Your Role
As a seasoned Quality Manager at our manufacturing facility, you will play a pivotal role in establishing a state-of-the-art production site and assembling a proficient Quality team to deliver our cutting-edge products. You will spearhead the initiative to uphold and elevate quality standards across our operations, fostering a culture of ongoing enhancement to surpass industry benchmarks and meet client expectations. Your responsibilities will encompass the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our quality management framework, as well as overseeing the launch of our quality control laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit and develop the Quality team; mentor and guide personnel through constructive feedback, addressing challenges, and recognizing achievements.
  • Establish, uphold, and refine the quality management system in alignment with corporate quality protocols.
  • Supervise the initiation and continuous operation of the quality control laboratory.
  • Promote and sustain a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the site.
  • Manage essential quality processes including new product launches, PFMEA, manufacturing control plans, change management, quality testing, product evaluation, certificates of analysis, calibration, material review, nonconformance handling, corrective/preventive actions, process monitoring, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and enhance key quality-related data systems.
  • Report on quality performance to all organizational levels and ensure site preparedness for audits by internal teams, customers, and certification bodies.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in an ISO, IATF, or GMP certified industrial environment; a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role; experience in high-volume manufacturing, particularly in semiconductor, photovoltaic, chemical industries, or battery production is preferred.
  • Quality Management Systems: Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 16949, with proven experience in managing compliant quality systems; familiarity with VDA standards is advantageous.
  • Quality Processes: Extensive experience with critical quality workflows such as new product introduction, PFMEA, manufacturing control plans, and risk management.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; adept at working across functions and effectively conveying information to various stakeholders.
  • Analytical and Independent: Strong analytical skills; capable of navigating ambiguity and creating structured solutions; quick learner with the ability to work independently.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proven problem-solving abilities and a mindset geared towards continuous improvement; lean six sigma certification is a plus.
  • Leadership: Proficient in team building and development; skilled in providing consistent feedback and support to foster a strong quality culture.

Compensation
The base salary for this position ranges from $155,000 to $195,000, depending on various factors including education, experience, and skills. This salary is part of a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes benefits, perks, and equity options.
