Job Overview

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Leader who will establish and uphold a robust quality management system, ensuring optimal standards of quality, efficiency, and safety to meet both internal and external customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assess customer and engineering specifications to guarantee successful new product introductions through adherence to APQP and PPAP protocols.
  • Directly supervise the quality department team, including recruitment, training, performance assessments, and scheduling.
  • Ensure that all purchased products, whether in-process or completed, undergo inspection as per the established quality management system procedures.
  • Identify quality training needs and provide education, training, and coaching to employees.
  • Participate as a member of APQP project teams, contributing to the successful rollout of projects.
  • Develop and implement best practices and lessons learned at the plant level.
  • Actively engage in company-wide continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality while boosting efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor quality metrics as required by the quality management system and formulate action plans to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Analyze customer complaints, initiate thorough root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and ensure customer satisfaction.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Propel and support plant initiatives aimed at achieving customer certifications and industry quality standards.
  • Oversee customer-related actions to ensure timely and appropriate responses.

Quality Management System Oversight:

  • Facilitate the integration and execution of the quality management system across the plant to prevent defects and fulfill customer requirements.
  • Act as a coordinator for internal quality audits and related corrective action and improvement activities.

Management Duties:

  • Report on abnormal quality KPIs and customer scorecards, along with associated corrective and preventive measures, to the General Manager and Corporate Quality.
  • Collaborate closely with other managers to address daily challenges and opportunities for enhancing product and process quality.
  • Occasionally engage with customer assembly facilities to review products and interact with customer personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including supervisory roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Background in plastics injection molding and assembly.
