As the Regional Quality Assurance Leader, you will report directly to the Head of Regional Operations, Americas, and be instrumental in executing the Global Quality Management Strategy (QA & QC). Your role will be pivotal in fostering a quality-centric culture across the region, ensuring alignment among sites and adherence to quality standards. Collaborating with process owners, you will enhance process controls to minimize variation, assure product excellence, boost operational efficiency, and secure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Contribute to the establishment of Global Quality policies, processes, and requirements as part of the Global Quality Management team.
- Represent QA/QC in Regional Operations Management Committee meetings, integrating Quality strategies into projects to achieve objectives.
- Provide insights and escalate QA & QC issues for resolution with Global Quality Management and related functions.
- Monitor Quality KPIs, ensuring compliance and effectiveness of the Quality Management System at both Site and Regional levels.
- Communicate performance metrics to Regional Operations Management and Global Quality Management.
- Supervise Site Quality Assurance Managers.
- Offer guidance, training, and interpretation of Quality requirements.
- Lead the implementation of quality standards and processes in collaboration with Site QA and process owners.
- Ensure effective scheduling and execution of verification processes, including internal audits and validation trials.
- Analyze quality audit results and develop preventative action plans at the regional level.
- Support process owners in enhancing product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of prerequisite QA programs and conduct internal audits to verify the Quality Management System's efficacy.
- Approve customer quality agreements to ensure alignment with Global guidelines.
- Stay updated on relevant quality standards and regulations within the region.
- Maintain a 5-year capital expenditure plan related to quality at both Site and Regional levels.
- Supervise Site Quality Control Managers.
- Provide guidance and training on Quality strategy and requirements.
- Assist in implementing quality standards and processes with Site QC and process owners.
- Ensure compliance of the QC function with internal requirements and support performance improvements.
- Monitor the effectiveness of prerequisite QC programs and provide advice on necessary enhancements.
- Maintain a 5-year capital expenditure plan related to quality control at both Site and Regional levels.
- Lead annual HR processes within the regional QA organization and validate outcomes with Site & Regional Operations Managers.
- Collaborate with Regional/Site Operations Managers and HR Business Partners to identify and nurture talent.
- Plan and facilitate the development of Regional QA talent.
- University degree in Engineering, Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in Quality Management within manufacturing or plant operations.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in people management.
- Proven experience in leading change and influencing stakeholders.
- Expertise in Quality Management Systems and related risk assessments.
- Green Belt certification.
- Quality Management Certification.
