Job Title: Pediatric Clinical Dietitian

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Clinical Dietitian to join our team at Omaha Children's Hospital. As a Pediatric Clinical Dietitian, you will play a critical role in providing medical nutrition therapy to pediatric patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the nutritional status of pediatric patients and develop personalized nutrition plans to improve their health outcomes.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families on healthy eating habits and nutrition-related topics.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement nutrition-focused interventions and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based guidelines in pediatric nutrition and apply this knowledge to improve patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to clinical nutrition.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in dietetics or nutrition, or a similar degree with completed dietetic internship and active credentialing through the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric clinical nutrition, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Knowledge of pediatric nutritional requirements, clinical medical nutrition therapy principles, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Current and valid licensure by the state of Nebraska as a licensed medical nutrition therapist (LMNT) and REG DIET - Dietitian – Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
