Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at Omaha Children's Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of compassionate and safe care to our pediatric patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, comprehensive, and compassionate clinical care to pediatric patients, including assessing patients, synthesizing and analyzing data, ordering diagnostic tests and therapeutic treatments, and evaluating clinical outcomes.
  • Apply evidence-based medicine pertinent to neonatal and pediatric populations, continuously evaluating the relationships among access, cost, quality, safety, and their influence on healthcare outcomes and sustainability.
  • Assume leadership roles to establish and monitor standards of practice, improve patient care through sharing knowledge, leading teams, and developing programs.
  • Translate health information, education, and support to families, considering child development, family readiness, and resources.
  • Maintain accurate logs of credentialed procedures performed, demonstrating competency and expertise when performing credentialed procedures/specialty skills.
  • Serve as an advocate for the needs of children and their families across the healthcare continuum, ensuring the best patient/family experience possible.
Requirements
  • Education: APRN licensure in the State of Nebraska, required.
  • Experience: Previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in pediatrics/neonatal, preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Satisfy all relevant criteria and qualifications outlined in the Medical Staff Policy on Allied Health Professional, required to be credentialed.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Current and valid unrestricted Nebraska state licensure (e.g., APRN, PA, RN), BCLS, PALS, DEA License, PNP-BC, CPNP-AC, NRP, and ACLS, required.
