Job Summary:

The Office Administration Instructor performs as an instructor in a regular classroom setting, presenting instructions in designated subject areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Core Values and Operating Principles: Demonstrates and abides by the Company Core Values and the operating principles.
  • Classroom Environment: Promotes a positive and desirable atmosphere within the classroom setting to ensure maximum student motivation.
  • Discipline and Rapport: Maintains a high degree of discipline within the classroom setting in order to ensure maximum learning and establishes a high degree of student/instructor rapport.
  • Evaluations and Assessments: Complete Evaluations of Student Program (ESP's) in a timely manner for students in assigned areas and may participate in evaluation panels. Provides other behavior and progress assessments as requested.
  • Confidentiality and Reporting: Maintains confidentiality but reports significant events or situations immediately through approved channels to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of students and staff, and to ensure that required reporting occurs, and that students receive emergency services as needed.
  • Student Support: Facilitates prompt and appropriate assistance to students in the event of injury, illness, or emotional trauma.
  • Student Meetings: Meets individually with students assigned at a minimum of once each month documenting the meetings in case notes.
  • Curriculum Resources: Utilizes all possible curriculum resources available.
  • Student Personnel Folders: Responsible for the maintenance of student personnel folders.
  • Attendance and Records: Records and forwards daily attendance to the Student Records area.
  • Job Corps Forms: Assists in the completion of all necessary Job Corps forms.
  • Equipment and Supplies: Responsible for ensuring that the equipment and supplies are cared for.
  • Classroom Cleanliness: Accountable for the cleanliness of classrooms.
  • Reports and Inventory: Responsible for reports required by the Manager such as student/staff hours, requisitions, and monthly student evaluations. Assists Manager during scheduled inventory.
  • Additional Duties: Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Qualifications: State certified, licensed or accredited by a professional trade organization. No teaching experience required, however, if candidate is not state certified, he/she must have practical experience in the subject/trade area. Must have the ability to transfer topical knowledge to meet specific learning objectives.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Extensive practical knowledge of trade and teaching experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of methods needed to instill appropriate behavior as well as work and study habits in adolescent students; of housekeeping techniques and management; to read, comprehend, interpret, communicate, and execute instructions or directives fluently in English.
Salary:

$66,560 - $75,000 annually
