Property Leasing Specialist

This position will work closely with the property management team to ensure an exceptional experience for residents and prospective tenants. Understanding tenant needs and providing effective solutions is crucial for securing commitments during the leasing journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interviews with potential tenants while adhering to Fair Housing Standards.
  • Guide prospective tenants through model apartments, detailing size, layout, amenities, and lease terms.
  • Complete lease agreements and collect security deposits.
  • Regularly inspect property conditions and coordinate necessary maintenance.
  • Maintain an updated list of available rental units.
  • Identify and engage potential leasing prospects.
  • Manage the leasing and renewal process from initiation to completion.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and foster positive relationships with residents.
  • Respond to incoming inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Encourage prospects to complete applications and secure deposits in line with company policies and Fair Housing regulations.
  • Process applications for approval, including credit checks and rental history, and communicate status updates to candidates.
  • Ensure apartments are ready for new residents on their scheduled move-in dates.
  • Follow up with prospects who did not finalize leasing agreements and guide them to alternative options if necessary.
  • Monitor local market trends and update property comparables to stay informed about competitors.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, hospitality, or multifamily real estate.
  • Previous leasing experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong customer service orientation and presentation skills are essential.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in hospitality roles such as concierge or front desk is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Onesite software is beneficial.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
