**Job Summary**

The Proposal Strategist is a key member of the business development team at Burns & McDonnell, responsible for developing and executing proposal plans to win new business for the company. This role requires a strong understanding of the company's services and the ability to develop compelling value propositions that differentiate us from competitors.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop proposal plans, including storyboards, team assignments, and initial management plans
  • Conduct pink team reviews and adjust marketing materials as needed
  • Lead the development of graphics and visuals, and perform post-submittal activities
  • Support the development of metrics, including change orders, safety, budget, schedule, diversity goals, and community involvement activities
  • Assist with the closing of project deliverables and submittals for industry awards
  • Attend professional associations, conferences, and trade shows to build professional networks

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or related field
  • 4 years of experience in marketing, business development, or sales with a professional services firm
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Adobe InDesign
  • Certified Proposal Management Professional (APMP) or equivalent

**Work Environment**

This is a full-time position with 10% travel required. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication and project management skills.
