Position Overview:

Our organization is looking for a Financial Operations Manager to enhance our vibrant team.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with a robust background in accounting and finance who is eager to elevate their career.

The ideal candidate will oversee all financial operations, which include budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and project management.

The Financial Operations Manager will be instrumental in guiding the financial trajectory of our organization, making this position ideal for someone who is driven, goal-oriented, and ready to make a substantial impact in the field.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all financial activities of the organization, ensuring compliance with financial laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Formulate and execute financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to support the organization's growth and profitability objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive monthly financial reports to senior leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and high performance.
  • Collaborate with various departments to create financial models for new initiatives, evaluating profitability and risk.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and precise reporting.
  • Contribute to strategic decisions as a member of the executive management team.
  • Drive the financial planning process by analyzing organizational performance and risks.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate billing and client payment processes.
  • Coordinate and prepare all necessary tax documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. An MBA or CPA certification is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Controller or similar role, ideally within the Engineering sector.
  • Strong background in Commercial Real Estate and Financial Accounting.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of managing and developing a high-performing team.
  • In-depth knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the capacity to develop financial models, interpret data, and conduct financial analysis.
  • Proficient project management skills with a proven history of successfully managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying financial information and complex concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong IT proficiency, particularly in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
  • High integrity and dependability, coupled with a strong sense of urgency and results-oriented mindset.
