About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Account Executive to join our team at Vets Hired. As a Marketing Account Executive, you will be responsible for serving as a consultative point of contact for clients, identifying and understanding their needs, and providing recommendations with supporting rationale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a consultative point of contact for clients
  • Assist in sales efforts, including responding to Requests for Proposals and participating in prospect meetings
  • Direct and lead mid-year reviews and annual stewardship meetings
  • Build and maintain key client and carrier relationships
  • Grow a working knowledge of the current marketplace and capabilities of providing alternatives for the transfer of risk
  • Coordinate and work closely with local and national leadership to drive LOB strategy and initiatives
  • Negotiate pricing and policy conditions and terms with selected carriers
  • Assist in collecting client information and providing analyses and recommendations of coverage needs
  • Lead the renewal process and prepare company applications and submissions to appropriate markets
  • Assist in presenting coverage and renewal recommendations to clients
  • Assist assigned clients and teammates with service questions related to administration, billing, claims issues, and problem-solving
  • Work with Account Manager to schedule and conduct teammate meetings
  • Understand and utilize the client management system(s) and other relevant technology platforms
  • Ensure service team procedures are appropriate and followed and documentation and premium amounts are accurate
  • Attend seminars, classes, and carrier meetings to keep abreast of new products available for clients and acquire expertise in legislative changes
  • Lead, mentor, and train other account service teammates
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or related experience
  • Six years of relevant insurance industry experience
  • Appropriate insurance license(s)
  • Considerable knowledge of markets, policies, and coverage issues for all states and industries serviced
  • Organizational skills to plan and prioritize team workload
  • Leadership skills and service and team orientation to provide direction, praise, constructive feedback, and development to employees
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive business relationships
  • Strong persuasion skills and tact to obtain information, negotiate with markets, and motivate staff
  • Discretion and problem-solving skills to analyze client information and resolve client, market, and employee relations problems
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel overnight
