Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef and Culinary Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supervising and assisting in the preparation of all food items for our Restaurant/Dining Outlet Cafe and Room Service. You will work closely with our kitchen staff to ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards and presented in an appealing and appetizing way.

  3. Ensure that all food is prepared following our standard recipes and guidelines.
  4. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
  5. Comply with all hotel policies and house rules, including those related to food safety and handling.
  6. Ensure that all employees practice safe work habits at all times to avoid possible injury to self or other employees.
  7. Enforce all hotel policies and house rules.
  8. Be familiar with the hotel's emergency procedures.
  9. Ensure that employees are at all times attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and other employees.
Requirements
  1. Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
  2. At least 5 years of related progressive experience or a culinary graduate with at least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
  3. Food Handlers Certification (must comply with State requirements).
  4. Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  5. Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  6. Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  7. Must be able to show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity.
  8. Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
  9. Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
  10. Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from disparate sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
  11. Must be effective at listening, understanding, and clarifying the issues raised by coworkers and guests.
  12. Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
