Medical Office Coordinator Patient Access Representative

**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team at the Hearing and Speech Center of Florida as a Patient Care Coordinator. This role is responsible for ensuring seamless patient authorization and scheduling processes, while providing exceptional customer service and support.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage patient authorization and scheduling processes, ensuring timely and accurate communication with patients and healthcare providers.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Process patient payments and manage billing and revenue cycle processes.
- Enter data into our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Coordinate patient scheduling and appointment management, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, providing clear and concise information about patient benefits and services.
- Manage self-organization, charting, and data entry into medical management systems.
- Facilitate documentation needed for grant reporting and other administrative tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, as well as Practice Perfect Software.
**Requirements:**
- 2+ years of experience in a medical office setting, with a focus on patient access and authorization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Proficient in electronic health record systems and medical management software.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) with excellent oral and written communication skills.
