Key Responsibilities- Coordinate Patient Scheduling: Work closely with scheduling departments to identify add-on patients and ensure timely and accurate scheduling.
- Verify Insurance and Benefits: Verify patient insurance and benefits, and notify patients and referring physicians of any issues or discrepancies.
- Collect Patient Information: Obtain and enter demographic, financial, and clinical information necessary for financial clearance of scheduled patient accounts.
- Communicate with Patients and Families: Communicate with patients and families to obtain missing insurance information and provide clear and concise information about their accounts.
- Lead and Develop Team Members: Serve as a lead resource for lower-level Patient Services staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care and service.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures and principles, as well as experience with data entry and software systems.
