- Department Management: Direct and control the operation of the GM/HBC department, including supervising and training GM/HBC Clerks, scheduling and assigning duties, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
- Inventory Management: Conduct daily inventory and order necessary supplies to maintain adequate inventory levels, ensuring that stock is properly rotated and expired products are removed from shelves.
- Merchandising: Implement and maintain the merchandising program, including changing signs and prices as directed by merchandising, and ensuring that displays are properly stocked and faced.
- Training and Development: Train and develop GM/HBC Clerks to ensure they have the skills and knowledge necessary to provide excellent customer service and perform their job duties effectively.
- Customer Service Skills: Ability to provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer needs and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team of GM/HBC Clerks, providing guidance and support to ensure they are able to perform their job duties effectively.
- Inventory Management Skills: Ability to conduct daily inventory and order necessary supplies to maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Merchandising Skills: Ability to implement and maintain the merchandising program, including changing signs and prices as directed by merchandising.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with customers, GM/HBC Clerks, and other store employees, providing clear and concise instructions and feedback.
