Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Lead to join our team at Walgreens. As a Shift Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring a positive customer experience, and maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Open and close the store in the absence of management, ensuring all systems are started up and cash handling is accurate.
  • Responsible for opening the back door for deliveries and completing product returns, order voids, and customer refunds.
  • Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, engaging with customers and patients to ensure a positive experience.
  • Assist with and coach other team members to work with warehouse and vendor ordering process, including opening the backdoor for vendor deliveries.
  • Responsible for registering all related sales on assigned cash register, including records of scanning errors and price verifications.
  • Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions and assisting in reverse logistics.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure the Outdate program is followed with team members.
  • Responsible for basic department pricing and making daily price changes, ensuring proper signage is displayed at the store.
  • Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash report, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment as necessary.
  • Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring a clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance.
Requirements
  • One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer the knowledge of store inventory control.
