United Way Miami, Inc. is seeking a Specialist II, Communications. This role is essential for amplifying and enhancing the organization's brand visibility across various platforms—internally, externally, and online. Responsibilities include creating and reviewing a range of materials such as newsletters, press releases, reports, website updates, and both internal and external communications. The specialist will support multiple communications initiatives and collaborate with various departments to gather critical information. Additionally, the Communications Specialist II will develop presentations to inform stakeholders and the community about United Way Miami's programs. As a key content creator, this position plays a vital role in promoting overall brand awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in journalism or a related field.

Experience Requirements: 5+ years of experience in writing for mission-driven organizations, corporate brands, and consumers. Experience in digital media and non-profit sectors is advantageous.

Technology Requirements: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Essential Knowledge/Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills, public relations expertise, website management (WordPress), and media relations are crucial for success in this role. The candidate should have experience drafting content for executive teams and be a highly motivated, organized content producer with analytical skills.
