Senior Associate Director of Student Services of PhD Advising

The University of Southern California (USC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate Director of Student Services of PhD Advising to join its esteemed team. As a key member of the USC Viterbi School of Engineering, this role will play a vital part in providing exceptional support to PhD students, ensuring their academic success and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all services for PhD students, including academic advising, counseling, and support services.
Manage a team of student service staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure high team productivity and performance.
Develop and implement operational strategies to drive team efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with departmental and school-wide leadership to deliver strategic alignment and integrate methodologies with the Viterbi School's broader academic and business plans.
Requirements
Master's degree in education, counseling, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5-7 years of higher education advising experience, with a proven track record of success.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Experience managing student funding, coordinating student academic personnel, and implementing student success initiatives.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a commitment to student-centered support and university mission.
