Job Title: Assistant Director of Student Engagement and Leadership

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Student Engagement and Leadership to join our team at Otis College of Art and Design. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and development of our students.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Director of Student Engagement and Leadership will be responsible for developing, facilitating, and evaluating a variety of student activities and events. This includes leading student leadership development, coordinating student leadership recognition, and supervising the Campus Activities Board. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate seminars, orientations, workshops, and other activities related to student involvement and leadership.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise the Campus Activities Board.
  • Manage the programming budget for Campus Activities Board.
  • Chair the Student Leadership Committee and lead the recruitment, hiring, and training process for student leaders.
  • Oversee the Student Leadership Development Program and coordinate the annual Student Awards Ceremony.
  • Coordinate the registered club and organization program and process.
  • Serve as a liaison between faculty, students, student clubs and organizations, vendors, and/or other College departments.
  • Assist in the preparation, production, and distribution of informational and/or promotional material.
  • Maintain current information on websites, social media, handbooks, and/or other marketing materials.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
  • Excellent typing skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills and public speaking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in student affairs, student development, or related field.
  • Previous experience working with college students.
  • Familiarity with basic equipment including multi-line phones, fax machines, copying machines, cameras, etc.
