Position Summary
The Foreclosure Legal Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting attorneys by managing the flow of case files. This includes effective communication with clients, initial document preparation for attorney evaluation, and executing tasks within CaseAware and other client systems as needed.
Key Responsibilities
The primary duties encompass, but are not limited to:
- Drafting and preparing legal documents such as assignments, motions, affidavits, and other related paperwork.
- Providing prompt, courteous, and comprehensive responses to a high volume of email communications.
- Building and nurturing positive relationships with clients and business partners.
- Delivering outstanding customer service to clients at all levels of interaction.
- Assisting attorneys in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Preparing and submitting status updates ahead of scheduled hearings.
- Regularly updating clients on their case status and diligently following up on outstanding documents and services.
- Reviewing expired Notices of Default and liaising with clients to ensure receipt of the most current figures.
- Monitoring for signed client declarations.
- Filing client declarations with the appropriate court.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Preferred experience with client management systems such as LPS, Tempo, and Vendorscape.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with borrowers, clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate in a friendly environment.
- Outstanding organizational abilities; the role requires adept multitasking and adaptability to ongoing changes.
- Meticulous attention to detail is critical.
- High proficiency in the MS Office suite.
- Competence in conducting internet research.
- A solid understanding of the legal processes involved in foreclosure is preferred.
