About the Role

Mckesson is a leading healthcare company that delivers insights, products, and services to make quality care more accessible and affordable. We are seeking an experienced Legal Specialist to support our McKesson Compile business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for McKesson Compile, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and business standards.
  • Collaborate with business unit attorneys and Compile business executives to drive progress and manage risk.
  • Partner with sales and business development teams to maintain and update templates, contracting processes, and business/contractual tracking mechanisms.
  • Identify and analyze key legal, regulatory, and business issues to effectively coordinate business terms with business partners.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree and/or a Legal Assistant Certificate from an ABA-approved institution (preferred) with 5+ years' work experience, or JD with 3+ years transactional work experience.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills, with excellent legal judgment and the ability to be both pragmatic/business-oriented and strategic.

Additional Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience working in a healthcare regulatory environment, including experience with applicable Federal and State privacy and data protection regulations.
  • Experience working within major corporations in the healthcare industry in various complex business transactions.

Physical Requirements

  • General office demands.
  • Must have the ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
