Position: Senior Technical Lead / Insurance Analytics Specialist

Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will possess 8 to 15 years of experience in the analytics domain, specifically within the insurance sector. The role demands a strong background in competitor analysis, ad-hoc data exploration, and proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R/SAS, and SQL. Familiarity with visualization tools like PowerBI or Tableau is essential, along with demonstrated leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a domain expert in insurance data and analytics, providing strategic and tactical advisory services to senior business leaders.
  • Lead the delivery of analytics solutions for various insurance carriers.
  • Design and implement data and analytics solutions across multiple insurance business functions, including Claims, Distribution, Product, Marketing, and Finance.
  • Understand the regulatory landscape and market dynamics of insurance products.
  • Utilize tools such as SQL, SAS, Python, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) to drive analytics initiatives.
  • Conduct client sessions to identify needs and deliver optimal recommendations.
  • Identify inefficiencies in current processes and propose effective solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with client teams and internal stakeholders to foster relationships and identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop business proposals and facilitate client workshops, working alongside technology professionals and strategic partners.
  • Manage various RFPs and collaborate with subject matter experts to create technical and business case studies.
  • Oversee project management, ensuring timely resolution of issues and monitoring deliverables.
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams in areas such as data modeling, visualization, predictive analytics, and automation.
  • Support career progression and skill development within diverse teams.
  • Ensure adherence to industry best practices and maintain effective communication with delivery teams.

  • Proven experience in delivering data management, analytics, and artificial intelligence consulting services.
  • Ability to build relationships with executive-level clients in the insurance industry.
  • Expertise in deploying data solutions on both cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within analytics teams.
  • Conduct research and provide tailored solutions for various business needs across the insurance value chain.

Candidate Profile:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, operations research, or related fields is required. Candidates with degrees from top-tier institutions are encouraged to apply.

Minimum of 7 years of significant experience in insurance business functions and processes, including Claims, Distribution, Marketing, Products, and Finance.

Strong background in delivering analytics solutions, including data engineering, reporting, predictive modeling, and business strategy support.

Experience in conducting business workshops and architecting solutions that benchmark industry standards.

Proficient in utilizing data tools such as SQL, SAS, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP, Python, R, PowerBI, and Tableau.

Demonstrated ability to interface with various stakeholders, including business leaders, technology teams, and analysts.

Experience in managing large-scale programs and dual-shore engagements within the Insurance Analytics domain.

Strong analytical skills, entrepreneurial mindset, and outstanding communication abilities are essential.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment and tackle challenging projects.
