Role Overview
The Member Services Representative (MSR) is responsible for delivering exceptional service to members through various communication channels, including phone and digital platforms. This role requires a solid understanding of operational procedures and a commitment to maintaining high standards of member support.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to all Credit Union policies and regulatory standards.

• Safeguard member information and ensure access to accounts is strictly for business purposes.

• Follow security protocols diligently as mandated for all MSR staff.

• Engage in member-facing activities as directed by management.

• Collaborate with leadership and coaching teams to enhance service delivery skills.

• Verify member identification and ensure compliance with the Member Information Security Procedure (MISP).

• Handle account openings, wire transfers, stop payments, card disputes, and account reconciliations proficiently.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to online access for members.

• Coordinate with other departments to fulfill member requests efficiently.

• Participate actively in providing direct service to members via phone and digital communication.

• Maintain performance levels in line with organizational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and management standards.

• Engage in ongoing training and professional development.

• Uphold soft skills and call quality to meet acceptable standards.

• Understand organizational goals and contribute recommendations aligned with these objectives.

• Utilize CXone functionality to assess personal performance and align with organizational goals.

• Demonstrate growth from coaching and feedback from management.

• Assist in various operational areas, including community service and employee development as needed.

• Possess knowledge in basic Financial Advisory and Real Estate Services, providing quality referrals when appropriate.

• Maintain a positive demeanor towards members and colleagues while presenting a professional appearance.

• Complete additional tasks and administrative duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Preferred qualifications include a four-year degree, CCUE Certification, or an Associate degree through the North Carolina Community College Transfer Program (NC-CTP).

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field is strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated proficiency in all MSR responsibilities.

• Strong interpersonal skills to build member confidence and trust in the Credit Union.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Consistent demonstration of the Credit Union's Core Values.

Work Environment
This position is based in an office setting, with close proximity to other team members and members. The environment may include background noise from colleagues, printers, and telecommunication devices.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to comprehend and execute job responsibilities.
• This role involves a significant amount of sitting.
• Use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and telephone.
• Ability to lift 10-15 pounds as needed.
