Fire Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Safety Specialist to join our team at The Boeing Company. As a Fire Protection Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with fire protection requirements and enforcing local fire codes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough field inspections to identify potential fire hazards and ensure compliance with fire protection regulations.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with local fire codes and associated fire protection requirements.
- Reference fire codes and standards related to fire protection systems, including inspection, testing, and maintenance.
- Implement Boeing's fire prevention policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain national and local recognized fire prevention codes, standards, and applicable methods.
- 2 years of experience as a paid full-time Firefighter or any combination of 3 years of experience as a full-time, part-time, or volunteer Firefighter within the last 5 years.
- Current National Registry or Washington State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
- Ability to apply for reciprocity within 30 days of start date and obtain reciprocity within 6 months of start date.
- Ability to pass and maintain a Firefighter physical/stress test.
- Ability to become a Hazardous Materials Technician within 1 year of hire date.
- Current valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Washington State driver's license within 6 months of employment.
- Current International Code Council (ICC) Fire Inspector 1 certification.
- State, IFSAC, or Pro Board Firefighter 2 certification.
- 3+ years of experience in emergency services.
- 3+ years of experience with building and fire codes, modern fire prevention principles, procedures, and equipment.
- 3+ years of experience with the Microsoft Office suite.
