Schedule Details:

The department operates from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. The schedule consists of 3 days per week, with days subject to variation based on physician availability, though efforts will be made to establish a consistent schedule.

Commitment to Employee Well-being:

The compensation for this role ranges from $31.55 for a Medical Assistant to $34.80 for a Licensed Practical Nurse, determined by qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and internal equity. Alongside base pay, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

Responsibilities Include:

  • Preparing and rooming patients for examinations by taking vital signs and documenting essential health information.
  • Conducting laboratory tests using aseptic techniques and adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Assisting Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians with various procedures.
  • Administering routine medications as per Physician or APC orders.
  • Managing procedure requests and patient referrals while ensuring effective communication with the healthcare team.
  • Performing clinical support tasks based on specialty competencies under supervision.
  • Demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care.

Required Licenses & Certifications:

For LPN:

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association, to be obtained within 45 days unless otherwise determined.

For Medical Assistant:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association, to be obtained within 45 days unless otherwise determined.

Educational Requirements:

For LPN:

  • Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.

For Medical Assistant:

  • GED or High School Equivalency Diploma.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 2 years of relevant full-time experience within the last 5 years.

  • Proficiency in performing both routine and complex technical skills within the Medical Assistant scope of practice.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform various physical activities including lifting, standing, and walking throughout the workday.
  • Capability to lift up to 35 pounds independently, with assistance for heavier patients.
  • Exposure to potential hazards such as mechanical, electrical, and chemical risks.
