Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our team at New Home Co. As a key member of our construction operations team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating construction activities to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Coordination
    • Assist the Site Manager in scheduling trade contractors and ensuring timely completion of projects.
    • Coordinate construction activities to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Quality Control
    • Inspect homes to ensure construction meets or exceeds established quality standards.
    • Carry out field changes and modifications as instructed by the Site Manager.
    • Provide feedback and recommendations to improve the construction process and materials used.
  • Trade Contractor and Materials Management
    • Follow up with trade contractors to ensure timely completion of work and provide assistance as needed.
    • Develop good working relationships with trade contractors and suppliers.
    • Provide feedback to the Site Manager on the quality of trade contractors and suppliers.
  • Job Site and Subdivision Management
    • Ensure adequate safety precautions are taken on the job site to protect workers and visitors.
    • Implement and maintain Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) best practices.
    • Ensure proper storage of equipment and materials used in construction.
    • Assist the Site Manager in enforcing company policies on the job site.
  • General Duties
    • Maintain updated information on all plans and specifications.
    • Assist the Customer Care Representative with job functions as needed.
    • Perform duties of the Site Manager in their absence or as delegated.
    • Provide leadership to team members by modeling company values, vision, and operating principles.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • College degree preferred but equivalent experience also accepted.
  • Credentials/Certifications
    • N/A
  • Experience
    • Minimum of three to five years progressive construction experience preferred.
  • Skills
    • Strong professional code of ethics.
    • Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
    • Ability to accept and follow directions from Site Managers.
  • Requirements
    • Valid driver's license required.
    • This position often requires driving during the workday.
