About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at APMEX, a leading e-commerce company in the Precious Metals industry. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall processing of products and packages, inventory management, fulfillment, and receiving operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure efficient and accurate processing of products and packages, meeting targeted Service Level Agreements with customers and company standards.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory levels, optimize storage, and ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Lead a team of operations staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high levels of productivity and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting, to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in operations.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to senior management on operational performance and progress.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Business Administration.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a distribution environment, with direct oversight of inventory management, fulfillment, receiving, and transportation operations.
  • LEAN/Six Sigma project leadership experience is preferred.
  • Experience leading a team of at least 10 people.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience in creating analytical reports and dashboards.
