The Director of Operations (DOO) serves as the key connection between client hospitals and Core's Medical Directors and Operations teams. This role is accountable for the performance of contracts within designated regions, ensuring that both client and Core expectations are fulfilled. Engaging in one or more of our service delivery models, the DOO oversees contract management and financial performance, embodies company culture and practices, ensures compliance and quality, and strives to achieve shared metric goals, enhanced clinical programs, and ongoing improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster positive relationships with clients, actively participating in Business Development activities including RFPs, presentations, service expansions, and contract renewals.
  • Collaborate effectively with Operations and Medical Directors.
  • Manage recruiting, credentialing, onboarding, scheduling, payroll, performance, risk management, documentation, chart flow, provider enrollment, practice coordinators, compliance, and scribes for client sites.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to drive change.
  • Stay informed about continuous improvement methodologies and tools applicable to healthcare systems.
  • Understand key performance indicators relevant to emergency medicine, hospitalist medicine, and critical care service lines.
  • Proficient in software solutions such as Microsoft, Salesforce, and Adobe products.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating objectives and presenting to hospital executives, physicians, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data to make informed assessments and recommendations.
  • Possess strong emotional intelligence with the capacity to influence decision-making.
  • Build and maintain trust through strong relationship skills with internal and external professionals.
  • Exercise independent judgment in determining areas for collaboration, escalation, and autonomy.
  • Effectively navigate competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset and team-oriented behaviors.
  • Collaborate with professionals across various geographic locations.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred (MHA, MBA, or MPH).

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical management with a proven track record in metric-driven operations and partnership relations.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen.
  • Experience in process improvement yielding clear business results.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with high emotional intelligence and professionalism.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven decision-making, judgment, and independent thinking abilities.
  • Practical problem-solving experience.
  • Familiarity with various HCMS, scheduling, and related applications.
  • Current knowledge of the healthcare compliance landscape.
