Role Overview: The Neighborhood Center Operations Supervisor is tasked with assisting in the oversight of personnel and the daily functions of the donor collection facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the daily management of facility staff to ensure the safe and effective care of donors.
- Act as the Operations Supervisor in the absence of the primary supervisor.
- Conduct pre-donation assessments, perform venipuncture, and provide post-donation care in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of donor records.
- Analyze quality improvement data and recommend enhancements.
- Assist in training and orienting new staff members.
- Identify and address non-routine situations during donation procedures and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Participate in ongoing education and training related to donation procedures and equipment.
- Actively engage in donor recruitment efforts.
- Uphold the organization's policies regarding equal employment opportunity and safety.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the healthcare field.
- Customer service experience is essential.
- Certification in Phlebotomy is required.
- EMT Certification or an Associate Degree in a related field is strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements: The physical demands of this position include regular standing, walking, and using hands for various tasks. The employee may need to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds and must be able to work in an environment that may involve exposure to biohazard materials.
Work Environment: The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts and blood components, with a moderate noise level.
