Position Overview:
The Pharmaceutical Account Executive is accountable for effectively nurturing customer relationships within a designated portfolio of existing clients to fulfill the strategic objectives of both Cardinal Health and its clientele.
This role involves showcasing the advantages of the Cardinal Health suite of solutions while fostering enduring partnerships with current clients, establishing oneself as a 'True Solutions Expert' to assist both our customers and the Sales Team.
The nature of the solutions, products, or services provided can vary significantly, ranging from straightforward to moderately intricate sales environments.
Main Responsibilities:+ Evaluate, analyze, and consult with our existing clients regarding their operational needs and strategies to identify the most suitable solutions and optimal timing for enhancing efficiency and profitability.+ Deliver actionable insights from customer assessments and timing determinations to formulate plans and recommendations that influence decision-making processes, supported by comprehensive and objective data that aligns with client visions.+ Employ the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain disciplined selling methodologies/tools, coordinating project activities for solution implementation post-sale, and accurately documenting all interactions and notes in the appropriate CRM system.+ Drive enhanced operational efficiencies within the assigned customer base by leveraging the right solution selections to benefit both clients and Cardinal Health.+ Serve as the established expert and primary contact for the solution suite, providing ongoing support.+ Collaborate effectively with the entire sales team and internal support functions to achieve collective objectives, ensuring the sales team meets its targets.+ Consult with clients on their front-end product needs, influencing decisions related to planogram adjustments and ensuring seamless transitions for new business customers to Cardinal Health.+ Actively participate as a vital member of the sales team, engaging in customer calls and leading internal discussions to validate the comprehensive suite of solutions available.+ Prepare reports, written communications, presentations, and other materials as requested by sales leadership.
Qualifications:
+ A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is preferred.+ At least 2 years of experience in a consultative role is preferred but not mandatory.+ Strong business acumen is preferred but not required.+ Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred.+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and demonstrate sound decision-making skills.+ Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight; self-motivation is essential.+ A valid driver's license is required.+ Willingness to travel over 75% of the time, including some overnight trips is required.
Compensation:
Anticipated salary range: $88,600-$118,100 (includes targeted variable pay)Bonus eligibility: YesBenefits:
