Job Summary

The Department of Corrections Executive Leadership is seeking a highly skilled Financial Program Supervisor to join our team at Oakhill Correctional Institution in Oregon, WI. As a key member of our institution's leadership, you will be responsible for the supervision, planning, coordinating, and evaluation of the Business Office, Stores, Laundry, and canteen.

This position requires a strong background in accounting and auditing, with experience in performing duties such as examining records, reports, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and budget monitoring. You will also be responsible for managing, leading, and/or overseeing the work of others, including training, advising, and reviewing work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the Business Office, Stores, Laundry, and canteen operations
  • Perform accounting and auditing duties to ensure accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Auditing Standards (GAAS)
  • Manage and oversee the work of others, including training, advising, and reviewing work
  • Develop and implement budgets and financial plans
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and auditing, with a strong background in financial management
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
