About the Role

The General Manager is the face of Tatte Bakery & Cafe within our communities and to our guests. This key leadership position is responsible for delivering a warm, authentic, and inspiring environment for both guests and team members.

As a General Manager, you will work closely with the Front-of-House team and in partnership with the Chef and Back-of-House team to drive total four walls quality, standards, and performance. You will be passionate about delivering on the smallest details to uphold and grow the Tatte brand.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Demonstrate complete ownership of the business, including total responsibility for the four walls and P&L ownership.
  2. Model authentic, warm guest experiences and be responsible for instilling great service in the team.
  3. Ensure the café is optimally staffed with individuals that embody Tatte's values.
  4. Demonstrate keen people performance management skills with the ability to identify talent and develop managers and hourly team members.
  5. Display skill in leading and navigating hard conversations.
  6. Continuously uphold Tatte brand and visual standards.
  7. Lead team members through effective and efficient operational execution.
  8. Ensure Food Safety in the café.
  9. Lead all café-level change management activities to ensure effective and accurate communication of new product, service, and operational information that can be acted upon by the team.
  10. Ensure food, labor, and controllable costs stay consistently within guardrails set by the company.
  11. Oversee all café administrative requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working as a General Manager, preferably in a high-volume, full-service, and/or polished fast-casual restaurant.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • High integrity and professionalism.
  • High School education or equivalent.
Preferred Skills
  • Hospitality education, such as a B.S. in Hospitality Management and/or A.S. Hotel and Restaurant Management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Previous experience working with UltiPro, Toast - POS System, CrunchTime/TeamworX.
  • ServSafe, Allergen, and ChokeSaver Certifications.
