Job Title: Professional Development Leader - Cardiac Medicine & Surgery

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Development Leader to join our team in Cardiac Medicine and Surgery. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing programs for staff development, education, research, quality, and evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive education programs for nursing staff, including workshops, training sessions, and online courses.
  • Collaborate with Nurse Directors in Cardiac Medicine and Surgery to identify learning needs and develop targeted programs.
  • Lead quality and safety efforts, promoting a just culture framework and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Participate in hospital surveys and contribute to the development of policies and guidelines.
  • Represent the Chief Nursing Officer/Associate Chief Nurse/Executive Director on committees as needed.
Requirements:
  • MSN or MS with a major in Nursing, or DNP or PhD with a major in Nursing, or a BSN with a Master's degree in a related field.
  • Specialty certification in Cardiovascular/Vascular nursing required.
  • Current Massachusetts licensure as a registered nurse required.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience as a clinical nurse with demonstrated evidence of leadership progression.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • Expertise in evidence-based practice, writing, research, and practice development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate self and others.
