Position Summary:
Kettering Health is a non-profit healthcare organization comprising multiple medical facilities and outpatient centers dedicated to enhancing the healthcare experience through exceptional service and quality care across all life stages.
Our mission is reflected in our daily operations, whether through direct patient care, the education of future healthcare professionals, or our commitment to community service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all facets of patient account management, including hospital and physician billing and collections, ensuring adherence to established departmental guidelines.
- Address and resolve older, complex accounts while managing special projects as necessary, demonstrating proficiency with various government and non-government payers, including institutional billing.
- Support the team lead in training initiatives and auditing processes, sharing expertise and resources related to billing, follow-up, and claims that have been denied or rejected.
- Conduct research on outstanding payments, update operational policies and procedures, and participate in payer operations meetings as required.
- Exhibit knowledge retention through scheduled evaluations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
Desirable Skills:
Prior experience in provider credentialing and website management is preferred.
