As a Senior Patient Services Coordinator specializing in Referral Management, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing patient care and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Patient Services Coordinator, your essential duties will include:
1. Ensuring adherence to current referral policies and procedures.
2. Maintaining accurate tracking and documentation of referrals to enhance team awareness and prioritize patient safety.
3. Verifying and compiling complete demographic and insurance information for referred specialists.
4. Initiating the referral process and assessing requirements according to established protocols.
5. Building relationships with community resources and service providers.
6. Acting as the primary contact for patients and providers, addressing inquiries and concerns effectively.
7. Developing and implementing systems in alignment with EMR functionalities and regulatory standards.
8. Providing detailed information regarding referrals and appointments to patients.
9. Managing incoming calls, directing inquiries, and offering assistance to patients.
10. Scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments as necessary.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required, along with a minimum of 12 months of experience in a customer service environment.
Working Conditions:
Physical: Ability to work in a seated position, utilize a computer, and handle telephone communications.
Environmental: Office setting.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient problem-solving abilities.
