Position Overview:
As a Senior Patient Services Coordinator at the University of Oklahoma, you will play a vital role in enhancing the patient experience within our outpatient clinic. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of administrative and customer service tasks aimed at ensuring seamless operations and exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Patient Coordination:**
- Manage patient scheduling for appointments, both via phone and in-person.
- Collect and update patient demographic information for new and existing patients.

2. **Communication Management:**
- Handle incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate staff members.
- Greet patients upon arrival and assist them with check-in procedures.

3. **Administrative Support:**
- Prepare and maintain healthcare providers' schedules in the system.
- Process payments and issue receipts to patients.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of encounter forms and billing packets.

4. **Record Management:**
- Manage patient charts and ensure all necessary documentation is filed appropriately.
- Request and copy medical records as needed for patient care.

5. **Insurance and Referrals:**
- Verify insurance eligibility and assist patients with referral processes.
- Collect necessary documentation for sliding scale discounts and financial discussions.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 18 months of experience, including at least 6 months in a clinical setting and 12 months in a customer service role.
- Preferred experience of 36 months in a clinical environment.

Skills and Abilities:
- Strong customer service orientation and effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and maintain patient confidentiality.

Work Environment:
- Standard office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
