Job Summary

This position is responsible for supporting the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment, and ensuring high-quality food items are prepared and presented in a cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in all phases of planning, ordering, inventory, and food preparation to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Support the management of cost controls and expenditures for the account, including implementing cost-saving measures and optimizing food costs.
  • Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams to enhance the dining experience and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise and motivate back-of-house employees to ensure the cleanliness, organization, and overall sanitation of the kitchen.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the kitchen team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts, Food Services Technology/Management, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant culinary experience, with mastery of a wide variety of kitchen positions and stations.
  • Ability to think on their feet, create, produce, and serve food on the fly.
  • Knowledge of food cost and its impact on kitchen operations, as well as product and quality identification.
  • Experience with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Outlook, and the Internet.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and oral/written communication skills.
