Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our team at UF Health Shands. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our medical staff to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attending physicians in the care and management of patients on inpatient units, including making patient rounds, contributing to daily care decisions, and writing orders.
  • Provide diagnostic and therapeutic healthcare coverage for patients in the clinic environment, including taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, and prescribing medications.
  • Work in the emergency department, assisting physicians in the comprehensive medical care of patients, and consult with supervisory physicians to determine the most appropriate care.
  • Collaborate with consultants and facilitate the scheduling of therapeutic and diagnostic tests and procedures.
  • Make frequent bedside visits to assess patient status and direct care accordingly.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current and clear license as a Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Florida.
  • BLS certification.
  • Acute Care ARNP or PA experience preferred.
