Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our team at UF Health Shands. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Assist attending physicians in the care and management of patients on inpatient units, making patient rounds, contributing to daily care decisions, writing orders, and interacting with consultants.
- Facilitate and coordinate the scheduling of therapeutic and diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Make frequent bedside visits to assess patient status and direct care accordingly.
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic healthcare coverage for patients in the clinic environment, including taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, coordinating lab tests, and prescribing medications.
- Consult with supervisory physicians to determine the most appropriate care for patients.
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current and clear license as a Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Florida.
- BLS certification.
- Acute Care ARNP or PA experience preferred.
This position will be based in the UF Health Shands Hospital and/or the Shands UF Healthcare Network, as applicable.
