Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our team at UF Health Shands. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our medical staff to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attending physicians in the care and management of patients on Inpatient units, Emergency Department, and Clinic environments.
  • Conduct patient rounds, contribute to daily care decisions, write orders, and interact with consultants as needed.
  • Facilitate and coordinate scheduling of therapeutic and diagnostic tests and procedures.
  • Make frequent bedside visits to assess patient status and direct care accordingly.
  • Consult with supervisory physicians to determine most appropriate care for patients.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current and clear license as a Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Florida.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Acute Care ARNP or PA experience preferred.
Work Environment

This position will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, interacting with patients, families, and medical staff. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting and communicate clearly with colleagues and patients.
