Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our team at UF Health Shands. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our physicians and staff to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assist attending physicians in the care and management of patients on Inpatient units, including making patient rounds, contributing to daily care decisions, and writing orders.
  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in the Emergency Department, including assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with supervisory physicians.
  • Offer diagnostic and therapeutic healthcare coverage for patients in the clinic setting, including taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, and prescribing medications.
  • Collaborate with consultants and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in call hours, phone coverage, and seeing admitted patients within the hospital.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current and clear license as a Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Florida.
  • BLS certification.
  • Acute Care ARNP or PA experience preferred.
Work Environment

This position requires frequent bedside visits, patient assessments, and direct care. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
