Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our team at UF Health Shands. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our physicians and staff to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the care and management of patients on Inpatient units within the hospital
  • Make patient rounds, contribute to daily care decisions, write orders, and interact with consultants
  • Facilitate and coordinate the scheduling of therapeutic and diagnostic tests and procedures
  • Provide diagnostic and therapeutic healthcare coverage for patients in the clinic environment
  • Take medical histories, perform physical examinations, coordinate lab tests, and prescribe medications
  • Provide assistance to patients regarding a plan of treatment and education
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current and clear license as a Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Florida
  • BLS certification
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a hospital or clinic environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a critical care or emergency medicine setting
  • Certification in a specialty area, such as pediatrics or neonatology
