About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Survey Project Manager to join our team at 1 Alliance Geomatics, An Atlas Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing surveying and mapping projects, leveraging various technologies to ensure accurate and reliable measurements of land and property boundaries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of surveying projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Surveying and Mapping: Utilize LiDAR mapping, photography, drones, GPS technologies, and conventional methods to map, as-built, retrace, or construct project tasks.
  • Field Operations: Coordinate day-to-day operations and field survey activities, ensuring Land Surveying (LS) team members adhere to internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
  • Office Work: Perform field note reductions, traverse adjustments using Leica Infinity or other post-processing software, prepare topographic maps using MicroStation Inroads and AutoCAD Civil 3D, and conduct deed research and title report reviews.
  • Post-Processing and Deliverables: Generate deliverables, including data collection using GPS TPS, 3D Laser Scanning, and Photogrammetric technologies, and survey control functions utilizing GPS and TPS.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise team members throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring accurate and reliable measurements and adherence to internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
  • Business Development: Develop relationships with organizational leaders, stakeholders, and clients to identify and assess their business requirements, and recommend the best-suited method for their surveying need.
  • Process Improvement: Develop processes for selecting and utilizing the most appropriate Surveying, Mapping, and Geomatics techniques to ensure the delivery of accurate and informative surveys.
Requirements
  • Professional License: Possess a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Washington.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of professional experience in surveying and mapping, with 2+ years of experience in project management and business development.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Civil3D, MicroStation (Inroads/Openroads), Microsoft suite, Starnet, and Leica office software.
