About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Land Survey Project Manager to join our team at SAM. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing large-scale land survey projects, managing multiple project managers, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Establish work plans and staffing requirements for multiple large-scale land survey projects, oversee the writing of scope, budget, and QAQC, and identify opportunities to maximize operating efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Monitor and develop professional staff to maximize their potential, develop RFQs and fee proposals, and work with Market Leads and Market Managers to establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base.
  • Client Engagement: Develop and conduct presentations to clients and other critical stakeholders, effectively interface with sub-consultants and other business relationships, and provide support to other operational units as needed.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop and implement strategies to increase market share, and represent company interests in meetings and trade shows.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of industry-related work experience in a professional or management capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly define assignments and deliverables to team members.
  • Ability to oversee, mentor, and motivate a project team, meet or exceed aggressive deadlines, and maintain teamwork and collaboration with others.
  • Demonstrated experience in project/phase management for large-scale land survey projects, leadership skills to manage multiple registered surveyors, technicians, and field crews, and success in business development, marketing, and networking.
  • Demonstrated success in contract negotiations, budgets, and fee estimates, and professional license preferred.
