Customer Service Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist to join our team at The Sherwin-Williams Company. As a key member of our retail store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, answering product questions, and recommending solutions to meet our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone, determining their needs and presenting appropriate products and services
  • Build strong relationships with wholesale and retail customers, understanding their needs and preferences
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Meet or exceed sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis, driving business growth and revenue
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date work order files and formulas, ensuring seamless operations
  • Pull and stock products from the sales floor or warehouse, maintaining a clean and organized store environment
  • Tint and mix products to customer specifications, ensuring quality and accuracy
  • Load and unload delivery trucks, assisting with deliveries as needed
  • Comply with inventory control procedures, maintaining accurate stock levels and minimizing waste
  • Stay knowledgeable about products offered, discussing available options and features with customers
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 70 pounds occasionally
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in delivery, retail, or customer service
  • Experience selling paint and paint-related products
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in multiple languages
